The School District of University City is accepting applications for Teacher Instructional Leaders (TIL). The overall role of the instructional support leader will be to support the work of the classroom teacher through coaching, feedback, modeling, data analysis, and planning. The TIL will also, assist with developing and implementing interventions for small groups of students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Missouri elementary teacher certification
2. 3+ years of teaching experience with a proven track record of student academic achievement
3. Experience designing and facilitating professional development for adult learners
4. Experience implementing effective student interventions
5. Experience coaching adults, preferred
6. Exceptional communication skills including writing, speaking and listening
7. Strong human relations and organization skills
8. An endorsement in Reading K-12, mathematics, or science preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Build classroom teachers instructional capacity to ensure the optimal delivery of district curricular priorities.
2. Provide teachers with high quality professional development, modeling, and collaborative planning for the purpose of skill elevation.
3. Share successful instructional methodologies and practices.
4. Support the building level data team analysis process.
5. Provide superior curricular training and resources to staff.
6. Ensure learning community and teacher instruction maximizes student learning.
7. Deliver small group interventions.
8. Conduct student instructional diagnostic evaluations, assess student progress, and develop prescriptive instructional programs to be implemented by the classroom teacher.
9. Identify, procure, and/or develop modified curriculum materials to meet the needs of impacted students.
